A.Eligibility

• Foreign students enrolled at NSYSU who are English native speakers, or are from countries where English is spoken as the first language are eligible to apply as ELTA. Students who are neither of the two must present proof of English language proficiency (minimum CERF level B2). • Complete attendance to all sessions of the ELTA training workshop (no record of leave or absence during the training).

B.Remuneration

• An ELTA will be paid NT$400 per hour for every in-school teaching session (transportation fees are covered separately).

C.Selection process

• First stage: Application forms and required documents will be evaluated by a committee. Qualified applicants will be short-listed and notified.
• Second stage: Qualified applicants must participate in the 18 hours ELTA training workshop and obtain a perfect attendance. After the training workshop, applicants who met all the requirements will be offered a slot as ELTA. Each ELTA will be assigned to a particular school where he/she will conduct English learning activities for at least 4 hours per week for a total of 12 weeks.

D.Notes

• Incomplete applications will not be processed, and submitted documents will not be returned to the applicants at any time.
• The project team reserves all the rights to modify the content of the program, and to change, suspend, cancel the program. If there are matters not covered, the project team will make amendments at any time, and announce on the website.
